Social Media Clarification

The non-partisan, non-profit Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) has worked hard to bring social media and technology platforms to the 2016 debates in an effort to expand their reach and educational value. These platforms operate independently of the CPD. Contrary to published reports, the CPD did not “launch” or any other website. The CPD did not “mandate” that half of the questions posed in the town meeting debate on October 9 come from the internet.
