Frank J. Fahrenkopf, Jr., Dorothy Ridings, and Kenneth Wollack, Co-Chairs of the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD), today announced that Yvonne Hao, Managing Director and Co-founder at the technology investment firm, Cove Hill Partners, has been elected to the CPD’s board of directors. The CPD is the nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that has sponsored and produced all general election presidential and vice presidential debates since 1988.
Before joining Cove Hill, Yvonne was the COO and CFO of PillPack, an online pharmacy startup created to help customers take their medications and stay healthy. Prior to this, Yvonne worked for Bain Capital, Honeywell, and McKinsey.
Yvonne serves as a board member of Gentherm, a publicly traded thermal technology company. She is currently a nonprofit trustee at the Beth Israel Lahey Health system. She served as a trustee for 12 years at her alma mater, Williams College. She is also a member of the 2019 Class of Henry Crown Fellows at the Aspen Institute, and an interviewer for the Schwarzman scholarship.
In addition to sponsoring and producing the general election debates, the CPD engages in voter education initiatives, provides technical assistance to sponsors of nonpresidential debates, and with NDI has established an International Debates Network (debatesinternational.org) to help other countries that seek to make debates part of their political process.
